Extend battery life? Use our tips!

Our phones can do more and more and are often faster than your old laptops. It's just a shame that they run out so quickly. Usually you can make it to the end of the day with a full battery, but sometimes you have to charge more often. In this blog we give 5 tips to extend your battery life.

1. Shut down apps

You know how it is: you are sending a message in WhatsApp in a group app and you receive a notification from Facebook that one of your friends has a birthday today, so let's quickly say congratulations.

Before you know it, 10 to 12 apps are open in the background. These apps use energy. If you are not using the apps, it is best to close them and save battery power.

2. Update phone

Try to update your phone completely and keep the apps in the AppStore up to date. This means that the phone does not keep asking if you want to update, so you receive fewer notifications and therefore consume less battery.

3. Dark mode

Nowadays, more and more devices have the so-called dark mode. This is a feature that turns all light colors in your menu and apps dark. If you have a phone with an OLED screen (most newer phones), a black pixel costs very little battery, compared to a light pixel, so your battery uses less energy in dark mode.

4. Vibration function

Turn off the vibrate mode on your phone. When you receive messages, it costs less battery for your phone to make a sound than for the phone to vibrate.

5. Battery condition

If the above tips do not really help, it may be that your battery is simply empty. Do you have an iPhone? Then you can easily check the battery condition.

Go to:

- Settings

- Battery

- Battery condition

If your battery condition is at 86% or lower, the battery is wearing out and you will probably need to charge your iPhone twice or more per day.

Change battery? Do you get irritated by having to charge often? BudgetFix can often replace your battery within 30 minutes. You can make an appointment for this via our online calendar .
